As a mama of three who fell in love with Southern Utah the moment we moved here two and a half years ago, I am still discovering new favorite spots and adding to my location guide. I serve families across St. George, Hurricane, Washington, Ivins, Santa Clara, and Cedar City, and what I already know for sure is that this place is magic for family photos. Red rocks, golden light, open fields and desert landscapes. Southern Utah has a backdrop for every family. Snow Canyon State Park is one of my personal favorites — and one of the most breathtaking locations in Southern Utah. The park requires a $50 photography permit, invoiced separately. Most families say it’s absolutely worth it.
Popular spots include Snow Canyon State Park, Sand Hollow Reservoir, Kirkland fields, and the red rock formations throughout Washington and St. George.
